Torrey Young defends clients facing civil and criminal government enforcement actions.  In the courtroom, she has tried federal jury trials that received national attention relating to false statements, securities, wire, and tax fraud charges.  She has skillfully argued pre-trial motions, cross-examined fact and expert witnesses, and been integral to post-trial motions.

In the health care space, her skills extend to conducting internal investigations, providing Anti-Kickback Statute analyses, implementing compliance programs, advising on Medicare/Medicaid issues, and defending False Claims Act claims.  Torrey recently secured a dismissal of a qui tam case prior to trial for a health system and summary determination for several health care counts for a nursing home owner.  She has represented a wide range of health care clients, including: individual health care providers and companies, health systems, laboratories, home health agencies, hospices, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, telehealth companies, pharmacies, and DMEPOS suppliers.

Her representation of clients in many industries reflects her versatility as a lawyer and problem solver. She has also represented individuals in energy, academia, and financial services, including clients facing FCPA, FARA, bribery, and SEC charges.

Torrey is recognized by Lawdragon 500X - The Next Generation (2023), The Best Lawyers in America® (2023), New York Metro Super Lawyers – Rising Stars® (2021-2023), and Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Stars® (2013-2019).  She was selected for Harvard Business School's Young American Leaders Program, LCLD's Pathfinders Program, and was a recipient of the Member of the Year award from Tomorrow's Women Today. Torrey has also appeared in publications such as Science, Compliance Today, JD Supra, Federal News Radio, and Bloomberg Law.

Prior to joining Mukasey Young, Torrey was a Senior Counsel in the health care and government investigations practice groups at a prestigious international firm.
